Another Scientific Study Has Confirmed That Kratom Is Effective For Mitigating The Symptoms Of Opioid Withdrawal

A new scientific study from several prestigious institutions including the University of Florida, Washington University, and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center has confirmed that Kratom is effective for mitigating the symptoms of opioid withdrawal, in addition to finding that Kratom produces significantly less physical dependence than opiates.

Specifically, the scientific study is titled ‘Kratom Alkaloids, Natural and Semi-Synthetic, Show Less Physical Dependence and Ameliorate Opioid Withdrawal‘, and in this study an experiment was conducted where mice were given Morphine, Kratom Alkaloid Extract, and pure Mitragynine for 5 days.

After the mice got used to the Kratom or Morphine, the mice were given Naloxone, which is a powerful opioid antagonist. The Naloxone instantly produced withdrawal in the Morphine-dependent mice.

However, the mice who were given Kratom for 5 days had significantly fewer signs of withdrawal when Naloxone was administered, and this confirms that Kratom causes significantly less physical dependence than opiates.

The next stage of the experiment was to give Kratom to the Morphine-dependent mice for 3 days, and after 3 days these mice were given Naloxone. It was found that the Naloxone induced very little withdrawal symptoms in these mice, indicating that the Kratom successfully eliminated Morphine dependence in the mice.

Based on these experiments the scientists conclude “Kratom, mitragynine, and mitragynine pseudoindoxyl produced significantly less physical dependence and ameliorated precipitated withdrawal in morphine-dependent animals, suggesting some clinical value.”

Zooming out, there have been many scientific studies which have reached the same conclusions that Kratom can effectively mitigate opioid withdrawal and that Kratom causes far less physical dependence than opiates. Likewise, there are thousands of subjective reports on the internet which confirm that Kratom is indeed very helpful for ending opioid dependence, and that Kratom has very little addiction potential relative to opiates.

Thus, the case continues to build that Kratom should be used as a treatment for opioid dependence. This is a message that every Kratom Warrior should spread, since the Opioid Pandemic kills well over 50,000 Americans every year, and Kratom has the potential to save many lives from opioid addiction.
