Kratom Science Has Only Just Begun: There Are Dozens Of Alkaloids In Kratom Which Have Not Yet Been Researched, And Many More Kratom Benefits Will Likely Be Discovered

Kratom science has been advancing at an incredible speed in recent years, with new Kratom benefits being discovered practically every month. Some recent discoveries include that Kratom can relieve chronic pain and opioid dependence while simultaneously not producing any respiratory depression or intoxication, Kratom lacks addiction potential because it does not produce drug-like effects in the Mesolimbic PathwayKratom reverses the physiological damage caused by opioid dependence, Kratom inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells and has the potential to be used for anti-cancer purposes, Kratom has anti-inflammatory properties like Ibuprofen/NSAIDs except it is much safer, Kratom can completely eliminate fevers, and Kratom can provide fast and sustained relief from Coronavirus symptoms.

The above list is nowhere near a full list of all the Kratom benefits recently discovered, it is just a handful of examples.

Further, even though Kratom science has made great strides and so many Kratom benefits have been discovered, the fact of the matter is that Kratom science is still in its earliest stages and there is a tremendous amount of research that still needs to be done.

Indeed, almost all of the Kratom studies so far have focused on Mitragynine, which is considered the primary Kratom alkaloid. Notably, even though Mitragynine is the most heavily researched Kratom alkaloid, there is still much to be understood and discovered about Mitragynine.

However, Mitragynine is only a small part of the picture, and Kratom contains dozens of alkaloids, most of which have not been researched at all.

Specifically, Kratom contains Mitragynine, 7-hydroxymitragynine, Paynantheine, Epicatechin, Speciociliatine, Speciogynine, Mitraphylline, Speciophylline, Isomitraphylline, Rhynchophylline, Isorhynchophylline, Ajmalicine, Corynantheidine, Akuammigine, Speciofoline, Corynoxine A & B, Ciliaphylline, 9-Hydroxycorynantheidine, Isopteropodine, Corynoxeine, Isomitrafoline, Isospeciofoline, Mitraciliatine, Mitragynine oxindole B, Mitrafoline, Mitraversine, Stipulatine, Tetrahydroalstonine, Pinoresinol, 7-Hydroxyspeciociliatine, 3-Dehydromitragynine, 9-Methoxymitralactonine, Tetrahydromitragynine, Mitralactonine, Mitralactonal, Mitrasulgyline, Mitrasulgynine, and Corynantheidaline.

Not only that, but new Kratom alkaloids are occasionally being discovered, such as epiallo-isopaynantheine, epiallo-isopaynantheine-N(4)-oxide,  3-epirhynchophylline, and 3-epicorynoxine B which were discovered in July.

For all of the alkaloids mentioned above, besides Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, practically no scientific studies have been done yet, and there is no doubt that once scientists begin researching these alkaloids that new Kratom effects and benefits will be discovered.

Also, the interactions between all of the different Kratom alkaloids has yet to be researched as well, and this is very important, since Kratom alkaloids work in a symphony, much like an orchestra, and it is impossible to truly understand how Kratom works and what Kratom’s benefits are without understanding each alkaloid and the interaction between all of the alkaloids.

Beyond alkaloids, it was recently discovered that Kratom contains a multitude of Flavonoids, Tannins, and Phenolic Compounds which likely have a variety of medicinal benefits including anti-oxidant, anti-pyretic, anti-bacterial, and immunostimulant properties, although practically no research has been done on these compounds in Kratom.

Thus, although Kratom science has been advancing at an incredible pace and numerous Kratom benefits and effects have been discovered in recent years, Kratom science has only just begun. Almost all of the dozens of alkaloids in Kratom have yet to be researched, the interaction between alkaloids has not been researched, and other medicinal molecules in Kratom such as Flavonoids, Tannins, and Phenolic Compounds still need to be researched as well.
